Regretfully, due to circumstances out of our control, Fever: Return of the Ula has had to cancel.
Category is: Fine-Extravaganza-hold-onto-your-manz-aaaah! Purrr…
After a sell-out season at the 2021 Auckland Live Cabaret Festival, the cabaret show on everyone’s hips, lips and fingertips returns.
Fever: Return of the Ula features the savage vogue stomps and luscious sways of critically acclaimed Fine Fatale and the soulful singing trills of the goddess trio The Taka Tu Wops, with a live band.
This show is a cultural reset that centres queer indigenous bodies. To some, it will be an education, a history lesson, a cute night out with the girls, a kiki, a date night, a laugh. But for others it’s a reminder, a reference, a reclamation. It’s healing.
Featuring an eclectic cast of Pasifika trans and queer supernovas, including Choreographer Amanaki Prescott-Faletau, winner of the FAME NZ Artist Award 2022.
